We are always happy to accept donations. The entry fee to the first competition is $6000.00 and to any additional competitions are $4000.00. We have a limit of $2500.00 that we can put into the robot but usually it can cost from $1100.00 to $2300.00. If we travel out of area we need money for hotels, food and air fair. If we have an event in state like Grand Rapids, we can drive to it and stay only the three days of the event. If we go to the nationals than we have to stay five days. We have not been able to do a second event because of the travel costs.
If you would like to donate there are a few ways of doing it, one is to send moneys to FIRST in care of Team 1322 and they will put that towards our scheduled events. Another is to send money to the MMRA (Mid Michigan Robotics Alliance) in care of Team 1322. We generally do not except money directly because we do not have the funds to get a tax exempt number. You can donate parts, machining, and labor directly to Team 1322. We also would like help with web site design, AutoDesk Inventor, AutoDesk 3DS Max, Labview programming, and many other items.
